Daringbadi is one of the enchanting hill stations in Odisha. The picturesque hill station restfully sits on an altitude of 3000 feet above the sea level, ready to discover. Daringbadi is a hill station located in Kandhmal district of Odisha state in eastern India. It stands at a height of 915 metres and is a favourite destination of tourists.

In the days of the British regime, there used to be a British officer known as Daring Saheb who governed this area. This area came to be known as Daringbadi by years with Badi referring to village. There are more than 50% of the population residing here who form Scheduled Tribes, community of aboriginal tribal races.

The temperature of Daringbadi has frequently been registered below 0 °C. It is renowned for producing high quality, G.I. certified organic turmeric.[2] It is also renowned for ginger cultivation.
Daringbadi is accessible from Bhubaneswar (246 km), the state capital by ordinary bus services. The closest railway station is at Brahmapur (119 km).

Daringbadi can be accessed from Brahmapur either through Sorada (NH-59) which is approximately 120 kilometres (75 mi), or through Bhanjanagar – G.Udayagiri (NH-117) which is approximately 180 kilometres (110 mi) or through Mohana-Bramhanigan route which is approximately 145 kilometres (90 mi).

It is approximately 105 kilometres (65 mi) from Phulbani, 49 kilometres (30 mi) from Balliguda and 30.5 kilometres (19.0 mi) from Raikia
